Second Death is an attempt to give a physical body to a photograph using animal fat (gelatin), a crude method of providing life to an ephemeral moment, then offering death to it. The bodies then begin to decay, swell, and mold over time due to its material, thus completing the cycle of life.
The audiences are offered to step on the dirt and roam along the graves, which splits the church in half - alienating both the church and the audiences to different terrains. The sense and the scent of the dirt transport the audiences to a sacred boundary.
